Priority Schools Funding Program

Griffith Public School is a Priority Schools Program school. By being on this program, the school is able to access funds to design and run programs that particularly suit the needs of our children. This allows us to be quite a "special school".

The Priority Schools Funding Program has allowed us to employ additional staff to reduce class sizes so that K-3 classes have less than 20 pupils and to fund:

            Home Reading Program

            Classroom Reading Resources

            Student Newspaper

            Mathematics Review

            Printers for classroom computers

            Digital Cameras

Dictionaries and Thesaurus' for classroom use

            School Magazines

            Atlases

            World Globes

            Computer Programs

Training and Development for teachers including Phonemic awareness and 4 Roles of the Reader

For further information please contact the school.

Parents are a vital part of the Priority School Funding Program.
